Belinda Romero Orellana, from Tegucigalpa, moved to Olanchito, Yoro, seven years ago. She had been renting until one day she decided to search for her own house. She says, “with my brother, we asked for a loan in FUNDEVI, where they gave us good options, mostly adequate and accessible to our payment capacity.”

She continued saying, “we made our calculations, and the monthly fee was less than what we paid for rent. So, we decided to go for it, and now we have our own home. We feel very happy because it is ours, and we are investing in something of our own, where we have the certainty that nobody will evict us.”
